What is an Advanced Apprenticeship?
An Advanced Apprenticeship in marketing will see you work towards achieving the following:
NVQ level 3 Diploma in Marketing
BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Marketing
Level 2 Functional Skills Certificates in Maths & English (if you haven’t already got a pass at GCSE)
ERR (Employment Rights and Responsibilities)
An Intermediate Apprenticeship is equivalent to 2 A-levels and usually takes between 12 and 18 months to complete. Once completed you could progress on to a Higher Apprenticeship or straight in to a marketing role.
To be at the right level for an Advanced Apprenticeship employers will usually expect you to have either; a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at A-C grade, a Level 2 BTEC Certificate or to have completed an Intermediate Apprenticeship.
What will I learn?
The level 3 Marketing NVQ qualification will consist of 4 mandatory and some additional optional units. The optional units will be picked by your employer to complement the work you will be carrying out in the role.
The mandatory units include:
Analyse competitor activity
Contribute to the development of a marketing plan
Evaluate and improve own performance in a business environment
Work with other people in a business environment
Examples of some of the optional units:
Use digital and social media in marketing campaigns
Design marketing promotions
Implement a marketing plan
Develop an advertising campaign
Contribute to running a project
