Further Education

What is Further Education?

Any education you take up after school up to level 3. This can include A-levels, BTEC national diplomas, NVQ’s and an Access to Higher Education Diploma.

These qualifications can prepare you for university or to go straight in to the workplace.

Further education can also be completed alongside your existing role as a way of supplementing your existing skillset and adding value to your CV.

What are the options?

If you want to get your teeth stuck into a career but don’t want to miss out on the qualifications then an apprenticeship could be right for you. Click here.

Studying a BTEC is a vocational alternative to A-levels, the work is continually assessed by coursework rather than exams and subjects include business and marketing. Click here.

A-levels are a traditional further education qualification consisting of AS (first year) and A2 (second year), covering a wide range of academic subjects and assessed by coursework and exams. Click here.

If you are classed as a mature student (usually 19+) and left school with no qualifications then an access to HE is a one year course that will prepare you to go on to higher education such as university. Click here.

There are a number of level 3 qualifications that can be studied through institutes and training providers, that will broaden your subject knowledge and boost your marketing CV. Click here.
